Pilates Teacher Training Program

350-hour Comprehensive Mat + Reformer Teacher Training. Science-backed. Mentorship-driven. Rooted in anatomy, breathwork, and real-world application.

The Program

Comprehensive Contemporary Pilates Training with a Classical Foundation

At the reform method, we believe exceptional instructors should understand not only how to teach movement — but why movement matters.

This is a mentorship-driven, evidence-based education designed to graduate instructors who teach with precision, adaptability, and a deep understanding of anatomy and movement mechanics — instructors prepared for today's evolving wellness industry.

Rooted in classical Pilates principles with a contemporary and evidence-based approach, our 350-hour Comprehensive Mat + Reformer Teacher Training blends movement science, functional anatomy, biomechanics, injury prevention, breathwork, nervous system regulation, and real-world teaching experience into one cohesive educational program.

The Approach

A Science-Backed Approach to Pilates Education

Unlike traditional Pilates trainings focused primarily on memorization of repertoire, the reform method Instructor Training emphasizes:

  • Functional anatomy

  • Biomechanics

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Breath mechanics + pressure management

  • Deep core coordination

  • Injury prevention strategies

  • Intelligent movement programming

  • Client modification + adaptability

  • Effective communication + cueing

  • Real-world teaching application

Students learn how to critically think about movement, assess compensation patterns, adapt exercises safely, and create intentional programming for a wide variety of bodies, goals, and experience levels.

Our training combines the precision and discipline of classical Pilates with contemporary movement science and rehabilitation principles to prepare instructors for today’s evolving wellness industry.
